Welcome to the DPS Gifted and Talented Department

Department provides services to students, parents, and schools in the form of overseeing the identification of gifted students in the district, providing staff development for faculties in teaching strategies for gifted students, training gifted representatives from the schools, coordinating the Highly Gifted Program and the testing process for it, and advocating for the needs of gifted students in the schools. For specific program information at individual schools, you should contact the school directly.

Parents and Teachers of Gifted Students Needed!

The Denver Public Schools Gifted & Talented Education Advisory Council needs members! GTEAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Education and to the Gifted & Talented Education Department on matters concerning gifted children's issues. The council is made of parents, teachers, and administrators.
